English Response Journals

After reading Lamott’s “Shitty First Drafts” and Orwell’s “Why I Write,” respond to the following question in essay form:

In her essay, Lamott provides a glimpse into the truth of the writing life. Describe three ”lessons” about writing that you take away from her essay. Apply one or more of those lessons to the point(s) Orwell makes in his essay.
