History, women and politics
Please answer the question to the following:
“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”
This amendment has not yet been added to the Constitution. Another attempt to revive it is in the works, but it seems that political energy is lacking to propel it forward. Is it worth the effort to have this language added to your state (or commonwealth) constitutions and to the Federal Constitution? How might the voters in your district be expected to a request to vote on this language in a plebescite?
