1-2 page paper film review and analysis must refer to pdfs and links

Paper 2:

In a one to two page response, address the film in regard to the two assigned readings, by Laura Mulvey (Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema) and Stephen Heath (Masquerade…). You can simply identify where you find aspects of both theories useful in describing the film and it’s subtexts (that is, its overt meanings and themes and how these can also function to convey other, often contradictory, meanings: here, in terms of gender of course.) But just try to apply two or three quotes from each author to the film at hand, for starters. We’ll discuss subtexts in class. Enjoy, these are wonderful essays.
